Born in Pune, Rohan Kulkarni moved to the US when he was 18. He attended The University of Texas at Austin, where he obtained his B.A. in English Literature. His first foray into writing was a short story in the university's literary magazine
After graduating, he went on to write for various publications in Austin and San Antonio. When he moved back to India in 2000, he became a freelance writer for several publications, including The Asian Wall Street Journal and India Today. He currently lives in New York City, NY with his wife and two children
